Hi,
it's Review Garage, Today I want to talk about something that’s negatively affecting
almost all of us, including children and that, ’s the light from screens -- which
includes your smartphones, laptops, pads, other handheld devices and even smart TV’s.
Not only is the strong, the bright light from such devices bad for your health, brain waves, hormones, and
sleep the blue light, in particular, can be very damaging and toxic to your
eyes.
The blue lighted emitted from such screens can lead to macular degeneration - which is one of the leading causes of vision loss.
Blue Light Damage Retinal Cells
In fact, the retinal produced venomousness via blue light is worldwide. It can kill any cell type! It's still unclear how much blue light is needed and for how long it’s necessary to damage these sight-seeing cells.Unfortunately, we do know that the damage is irreversible! Of course, this doesn’t mean that you’re going to go blind anytime soon. Though, getting old alone reasons a reduction in vision, thus why hurry the procedure with blue light?
And remember, blue light is
also emitted by the sun - in addition to all of these devices. Thus, there’s an
accumulated effect, which is why more and more people have vision problems these
days, at a younger age.
So What’s The Solution Now,
I’m not going to tell you to stop using your computer, cell phone or stop
watching TV. It’s just not practical, possible or probable. So, here are some
steps in reducing the damage from such devices and the blue light.
Use Blue Light Filters
Viewing such devices in the dim
then at dark, can strengthen the blue light. So, stop using your phone in bed
or in the dark. The newest phones have “blue light filters” that you can turn
on - iPhones, Androids, etc.
All have such a feature. Make
sure you turn it on, especially at night when the sun comes down. On your
desktop and computers, such blue-light filters also exist in the newest
computers.
Just activate it. You should also install blue-light filter software and apps, such as f.lux2 this is what I’ve used on my computers for a few years now. When the sun goes down, it automatically gets activated and turns OFF the blue-light from your screen.
It’s a free program. Good for
your eyes and sleep. This way you can also watch TV and not get hit by the
blue-light.
Blue Blocking Glasses
You can blue-blocking glasses at amazon.com and I have a link below to the one I use. It’s super inexpensive. Ultimately, you want to reduce some of the screen time this is especially important for children who seem to be glued to their iPads.
Even if it’s educational
material and videos, it’s still unhealthy for their eyes, brain waves, and
hormones. And I know this seems like a big inconvenience, but it doesn’t have
to be.
Conclusion
Altogether of these devices
have such blue light blocking structures these times and merely tiring the blue-blocking
spectacles in the twilight will decrease the eye negative belongings
tremendously!
Please give it a thumbs up. And share it with your loved once! Cheers : )
